If you are already a police
officer in New York State, you may be eligible for
resignation/reinstatement with
the Yorktown Police Department. The following are the two
criteria: I am a
police officer in New York City
Police officers in New York City are not eligible for
resignation/reinstatement with
the Yorktown Police Department. In order to become a
Yorktown Police officer, you are required to take the
Westchester civil service test.

York State (excluding NYPD, DEP, Park and SUNY Police):
You are likely eligible for resignation/reinstatement with the Yorktown Police
